Project Description:The project was implemented on the local metal heat treatment production base in Malaysia, supporting complete set of high temperature homogenizing furnace and bright annealing furnace production lines. The original furnace circulation system had industry problems, such as inadequate airflow circulation, large temperature differences within the furnace chamber, frequent fan damage under high temperature conditions, inconvenient disassembly and maintenance, and high energy consumption. We tailored the direct-drive plug type high-temperature stirring fans for the entire heat treatment production line and completed the equipment replacement and upgrade of the entire hot air circulation system. The solution is suitable for the full-process operating conditions of high temperature homogenizing and stress relief annealing, simultaneously improving furnace temperature uniformity, production pass rate, equipment operation and maintenance efficiency, and stably satisfying the continuous mass production requirements for metal heat treatment in Southeast Asia.
Quantifiable Project Results:Since the project was put into service, the heat treatment defect rate caused by the uneven workpiece hardness, microstructural segregation, local oxidation, deformation and scrapping decreased from 6.2% to 1.8%, representing an overall reduction of 71%. All hot and cold dead zones in the furnace were eliminated. The furnace chamber temperature difference in both the homogenizing and annealing furnaces was precisely controlled from ±8℃ to ±10℃ before renovation to within ±2℃, completely meeting the process standards for premium alloy homogenization and precision stress relief annealing.
